Dum biryani is refers to the cooking method. Where the meat or vegetable are layered with rice and steamed together until perfectly cooked.
In the heart of London Soho, I came across Dum Biryani House. A cosy place with welcoming staffs, great service. The interior décor is Indian cartoons art drawing adorning its wall.
This restaurant what it is all about it’s the biryanis. The choice between chicken, lamb and vegetarian. Whatever you choose it’s the way it’s served. All biryanis come with Beetroot Raita, Mirchi Ka Salan Padron pepper in a peanut and sesame seed curry, house pickles and poppadum.
This is just the start of it. What really inspired me is the pleasure of breaking open the pastry crust and releasing the aromatic steaming, spiced rice. A real delegacy with the wow factor. I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely go back again. Well recommended to try.
