Always wanted to try Portuguese cuisines. Portuguese are well known for their sea food and especially the BACALHAU. Bacalhau is the Portuguese word for cod. Dried and salted cod. There are said to be over 1000 Bacalhau recipes in Portugal alone and it can be considered the iconic ingredient of Portuguese cuisine. Went there for my birth day with friends and the place was packed with people. The food was great and I really enjoyed it.


Pasteis de Bacalhau

 Codfish pastries, made from potatoes, Bacalhau, eggs, parsley and onion. Then deep fried and served hot or cold before meals as an appetizer

Sardinhas Grelhadas (Grilled sardines)

 Clams in a white wine sauce

Sun dried salted cod cooked with onions, eggs and chips

 Portuguese beverage consists of red wine or white wine, chopped fruit, a sweetener, and small amount of brandy.
